Call for Abstracts
The El Paso Center for Diabetes & its partners are calling for participation in the peer-reviewed Abstract/Poster Competition. There will be no cost to participate. A total of 20 posters will be accepted in the competition and displayed during the conference. Abstract/Poster submissions must represent research or projects related to diabetes.
Deadline for Submission: April 10, 2026 @ 5:00 PM MST
Abstract Requirements
- Maximum Length: 700 words; typed double space; New Times Roman font
- Format: Word document
- Deadline: April 10, 2026
- Identifiers: Title; Authors; Institutional Affiliation(s); Email; Phone; and a physical mailing address
Case Reports must include: Introduction; Case Presentation; History; Physical; Patient Laboratory, X-Ray Data; Intervention; Assessment; Treatment; Clinical Course; Outcome; and References
Scientific Research must include: Purpose; Introduction; Materials and Methods; Results; Discussion; Conclusions; and References
Abstracts must be in English and related to diabetes. All individuals accepted to present will be notified by email by April 17, 2026.
If Selected
A template will be provided for a single PowerPoint slide of the poster. The conference will print the posters at no cost to presenters. Submit your final PPT slide by April 27 to marketing@epdiabetes.org. Presenters must be available during breaks and lunch to present to conference participants and answer questions from the judges. Awards will be presented at the end of the conference. The first, second, and third-place abstracts will be published in the El Paso Physician Magazine.
