The Power of One is an informal event held in conjunction with Frozert Yogurt’s grand opening. Doug Masiuk, who lives with type 1 diabetes, is riding his bicycle across the country, to demonstrate what is possible with diabetes. In 2012, he was the first person to run across the United States. This year, he is hoping to become the first person with diabetes to ride across the United States. When he completes his ride, he will be 1 of 4 persons to have ever run and ridden across the same continent and the first person with diabetes to do so.
“We are rooting for Doug and feel he is an inspiration to all persons with diabetes!” We want you to meet him. Doug’s website is www.1Run.org.
